Yamaha Built XV950 2015
EICMA was not only fair supersport and there are those who presented the special interest of tavernas. First of all the House of Iwata, whose stand EICMA hosted the Yamaha XV950 Yard Built boltage, a special on-XV950 made by German brothers Raphael and Christian Bender.
SAME BASE Going into detail, the Yamaha XV950 Yard Built boltage is a cafe racer that pays tribute to motorcycle racing Years 70. The two brothers have left the basic mechanics of the XV950, which remained the engine, chassis and suspension. The rest is almost all by Benders. The silencer is Hattech, with collectors wrapped like mummies, graphics called “Speedblock” circles painted gold and all the various details made by hand, as the platforms and the tail in fiberglass. But since an image, sometimes, is worth a thousand words, sfogliatevi the photo gallery in which there are, inter alia, also photos that show the progress of work in time.
After the SR 400 Tribute Wheels & Waves presented in 2014, Christian and Raphael Bender Milan unveil their vision of Yamaha XV950. Dubbed Boltage this preparation – that part of the program Yard Built – in the footsteps of the café racer Jericho, on the basis of TR1.
German preparers have touched or engine (except for Hattech escape) or the cycle part of the Bolt. The dressing, for against, is in large part unpublished and handcrafted: tank, seat, front fender …
This cosmetic work is enhanced by a retro paint and graphics Speed Block way Kenny Roberts immediately recognizable as part of the legacy Yamaha. Hopefully by now, like other preparations Yard Built on Boltage kit by Benders will soon be marketed.
Three are the new Yamaha Yard Built on the stand Yamaha EICMA. One of these is the XV950 boltage brothers Benders. The two long compete with motorcycles not so young as the Yamaha XT, SR, XS and TR1, but again started from a Sports Heritage of Yamaha brand new.
After having shown the world custom all their creativity, with Yard Built SR400 Homage, inspired by the legendary enduro Yamaha XT500, view during the event Wheels & Waves of Biarritz, ii German Raphael and Christian Benders compete now with a new Sport Heritage . The XV950 boltage brothers Benders is a cafe racer inspired by the Yamaha racing seventies. Ideally following the previous work of the Preparatory Germans, the Jericho, derived from a Yamaha TR1 of 1983, with elements that recall the Yamaha TZ750 racing past.
The Bender brothers departed from the technology and design of XV950, keeping the engine, chassis and suspension originals. Around the core of the bike, then created a series of custom components and handmade, all designed and manufactured by themselves.
The silencer Hattech think the right sound, and painting the back Yamaha completes the look, with graphics Speedblock that makes it instantly recognizable and that the boltage graphics front reminds me ‘even before RD350 two-stroke. Particular note are the exhaust system with manifolds and blindfolded, tapered, but especially the air filter net and caged, the shape which is reminiscent of an American football.
